MAGIC BULLETS AND MOONSHOTS- WHY CURING CANCER IS SO HARD
29 November 2016 19:00-22:00
SciBar – literally science with a bar! Come along and hear Professor Andy Hall talk about the difficulties in curing cancer and what the latest research has developed. Professor Andy Hall has been the Associate Dean of Translational Research and Professor of Experimental Haematology at Newcastle University’s Northern Institute for Cancer Research.
SciBar meetings are relaxed discussions about science that take place while people enjoy a drink. In the run up to Christmas, November’s SciBar is a special event in collaboration with The Core.
EXPERIENCE, SHARE, PARTICIPATE
It’s a great place to learn a bit more, even if you only have a general interest in science, or to ask the questions you’ve always wanted answered. You don’t have to know about science – just turn up with an inquiring mind.

SciBar is a relaxed, informal and free event, donations are welcome on the night
